Rangirangdoo Winner Of 2010 Expressway Stakes

February 8th, 2010

Rangirangdoo, trained by Chris Waller, took out the 2010 Expressway Stakes at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Saturday.

The gelding went into the Group 2 race as favourite and did not disappoint, winning by a head over the six-year-old Dao Dao.

The gelding went into the Group 2 race as favourite and did not disappoint.

Disappointingly, due to rain, three horses were scratched from the middle distance event reducing the field to only five starters.

McClintock started well and took the lead, but was pipped to second spot by Dao Dao, and took third position.

Chris Waller’s other entrant and equal favourite to Rangirangdoo before the running of the 2010 Expressway Stakes, was Danleigh. The dual Group 1 winner struggled in the conditions and came in to finish the field of five in fifth.

It seems that Waller will be looking to run Rangirangdoo in the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes held at the Warwick Farm Racecourse on the 6th of March.
